I’ve always adored your art, and i still do, and i’ve looked up to it, and you, like a sister, because that’s sort of what you’ve become for me. I hope you always have the best in life; that whatever you face, you can overcome with a smile; that you’re always surrounded by love, hugs, presents, cake, shosho and good music :3

I hope you like this; i decided to do a picture by drawing one image on the side and flipping it because i couldn’t come with anything more creative on such short notice ^_^; It was my first time trying this, but i think it suits since it later on occurred to me we’re both Gemini’s! I made a pose like this because you liked my other sketchbook wip that has a similar pose. I left the outlines because i was too scared to do more natural look by blending colours- you know how talentless i am. And well, the hair’s black because we both have black hair; and they’re wearing green shirts because well i’m wishing you and its my favourite colour ;b

Tonight Midnite will strike…Twice!

“His overcoat flutters in the wind, as the city’s gloomy backdrop leaves him wondering what lies ahead. The Midnite Marauder has gained followers, but also haters, as the medias coverage of him increases, and so does his worry of safeguarding his identity. He’s known as the powerless superhero, managing to dodge one bullet after the other, as his accomplice, the Midnite Star, assists him in his crusades with her amazing magical power.

He hasn’t seen her for awhile; all he has to remember her by is a flower she left in her letter to him from the last time they met; that letter contained many things, from gratitude to love, to the declaration of a need for isolation as her powers grew too strong even for her.

The sea breeze is bitter–not salty but bitter–as he walks across the town square. The clocks strikes midnite, as the sole Midnite listens to the ring. But then, whats this? A glow of green above him; could it be?! YES! it is, he turns around, and there she is, waiting to assist him once more, his loyal companion the Midnite Star.

Hope you like this, i used a photo from your speech day album O_O It had you without glasses, and thats i wanted to draw you, but i realised it doesn’t really look like you unless you have glasses, so i drew the glasses, GREEN, the shirt is also GREEN, and so is the hair band. Those two little things on your shoulder are HAMSTERS! ^_^ One has a red bow tie, and the other has an orange bow in its hair xD

You my darling dumpling doctor, are the best doctor i know, simply because of your humility, and sensibility, which, lets be honest, a lot of doctors lack, especially today. I know you’ll go on to hold more beating hearts in your hands, and save more and more lives, and go down in the history books, because i can see it in you, that naughty spark in your eyes. I hope you enjoyed your birthday to the fullest, and got some good surgeries [and presents] and easy shifts; may you have juicy Grey’s-Anatomy-style surgeries and easy shifts (and good health and more birthdays) in the days to come…ameen :)

I’m sorry i’m late with the present, but you know how incompetent i am with technology ^^ I hope you like it, i really liked coloring it :D

My friends belated-birthday present sketch. I’m posting this so i can tell you the details here, instead of in the actual present post.

DETAILS:

Layers: 6 (8 if you count the photo and the color fill);

time: approx. 40min;

tools: photoshop

METHOD:

I traced the photo, by first opening the photo in photoshop, putting a color fill layer over it, and then putting a separate layer [lets call this outlines layer] over the color fill. I turned the opacity to 0% then traced the photo on the outlines layer. Then, i clicked the color fill layer, and then click ‘new layer’, this way, the new layer [color layer] came UNDER the outlines layer, rather than over. Then i preceded like this with the background and whatnot. At one point, the background layer i used to draw the funky background was kinda ruining the top color layer, so i made another layer over the background layer, and colored the places that were interfering with the color layer white….confused? Good :P

FINAL COMMENTS:

For the first time in my life, I really enjoyed myself coloring on photoshop. I finally understood how my artist friends managed to make the skin so real…they blended similar shades of a color. So yes, i enjoyed myself :D And i’m in the mood to finish my other friends belated birthday present too :)

This is Fatma’s actual present, and its the best i could come up with :x
